Short Bio : Ms. Khadiza Tul Tahera has been working as a researcher at the Bangladesh Institute of Democracy and Development (BIDD) since January 2018. During her tenure, she served as a research associate from March 2018 to June 2021, and on July 1, 2021, she was appointed a researcher (financial analyst). Tahera is well focused on the financial analysis of public spending and has excellent leadership skills. She did her Bachelor and Masters in Business Administration (major in Finance) with good academic results. She was nominated for the postgraduate research program at La Trobe University, Melbourne campus, Australia, under the supervision of Professor Balasingham Balachandran on corporate finance analysis in the financial sector. Before joining BiDD, she served at the Presidency University and Westmont Power (BD) Ltd. For more than a decade as a financial analyst, she has published five journal articles focused on corporate governance, liquidity crises, and share market issues in Bangladesh. Currently, she has engaged in various research projects for BiDD, especially on the financial accountability of public money through the financial committees of the Bangladesh Parliament, and regularly analyzes the budgetary policy of the government.
