Short Bio : Rukaiyea Alam Moumita is a bright and motivated junior scholar with a concentration in development and governance. Moumita brings a plethora of expertise to the Representative and Parliamentary Affairs wing of BiDD in her role as a junior research scholar. She graduated from Jahangirnagar University in the Department of Government and Politics. Before joining BiDD, she served at the British Council’s Active Citizen Program, OIC’s 45th Council of Foreign Ministers’ organizing committee, and a2i’s telehealth project. She became the second runner-up in the regional-level policy camp and won awards in several debate competitions. As an aspiring young scholar, her interest primarily lies in the fields of governance, election behavior, women’s politics, youth engagement in health and wellbeing issues, and parliamentary politics. She has three publications and is a regular contributor to BiDD’s bulletin ‘The Representative, a parliamentary session-based research bulletin.
